Applying for a Wheelchair-Accessible Van
At All Things Possible Mobility, we carefully steward every gift to ensure wheelchair-accessible vans are provided to those who truly need them and can afford to maintain them. Our application process is thoughtful, thorough, and designed to serve families in medical crisis with compassion, clarity, and integrity.
Basic Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Share details about the medical condition creating the need for a wheelchair-accessible van
- Demonstrate financial need for the vehicle, while being able to cover ongoing costs such as insurance and maintenance
- Once approved, commit to participating in fundraising efforts by sharing their story and All Things Possible’s involvement with their community

- The initial review process may take up to 90 days
- Vehicle availability and timing cannot be guaranteed
We currently serve residents of the following North Carolina & South Carolina counties: Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Iredell, Lincoln, Gaston, Union, York, and Lancaster
Approved recipients must travel to Ilderton Conversion Company in Charlotte, NC to pick up their van
The Application Process
Phase One: Apply Online
The patient—or an advocate if the patient is unable —completes the online application to begin the eligibility review.
Phase Two: Review & Vetting
An associate will contact you to review your application. Required documents will be completed, and a complimentary nonprofit credit counseling service will review financial information before recommendations are presented to our Medical Review Team and Board of Directors.
Phase Three: Video Interview
Approved applicants move forward with a video interview involving the wheelchair user and caregiver(s), conducted either in-home or via Zoom.
Decision & Next Steps
Applicants are notified by phone if approved, with next steps clearly outlined. Written notification is provided if declined. All decisions are final but may be revisited if significant new information arises.
